No Institutional Coup in Brazil. Statement REDH
The Executive Secretariat of the Network of Intellectuals in Defense of Humanity (REDH) denounces the attempt institutional coup that at this time takes place in Brazil, led by the tandem Temer-Cunha, in disregard of vote of 54 million Brazilians ago only a year and a half to legitimately re-elected president Dilma Rousseff.
The attempted coup in Brazil is a clear attack on the social policies that governments PT promoted over fourteen years, to remedy the social situation of the world's most unequal country and materialise in programs such as "Bolsa Familia" and "My house, My life", through which governments of Lula and Dilma improved and dignified life for millions of low-income Brazilians.
It is also an attack on Latin American integration (Unasur and Mercosur-CELAC) and the efforts of the governments of Dilma and Lula to move towards the construction of a multipolar world through the BRICS. The recent disclosure of Reuters, about the American Goldman Sachs lead the Brazilian economy with Paulo Leme to the head in case definitively consummated output Dilma, shows that destituyentes attempts have clear external joints, aimed at weakening impulses countries that are contributing to the shaping of a new international order, to the detriment of the supremacy of the United States and the European Union.
For these reasons, and in direct relation to the findings of our XII International Meeting of the REDH, held days ago in the city of Caracas, Venezuela, the REDH reaffirms its commitment to respect the popular vote and constitutional order, and solidarity with the PT, the CUT, the MST and Brazilian great social movements, and historical leaderships of Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff.
The putschists not pass, either in Brazil or in Latin America!
